Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 That his endeavours will be judged, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
