He it is who has made the earth easy to live upon: go about, then, in all its regions, and partake the sustenance which He provides: but [always bear in mind that] unto Him you shall be resurrected. 15 Do you feel secure that He who is in heaven will not cause the earth to swallow you, the while it rocks? 16 Or have you become so unafraid that He who is in Heaven will not send a violent wind to shower stones at you? Then you will know the import of My commination! 17 And already had those before them denied, and how [terrible] was My reproach. 18 Do they not see the birds above them flying wings spread out or folded? Nothing holds them aloft but God. All things are within His purview. 19 Or, who is it that shall be your host to help you, other than the Merciful? Indeed, the unbelievers are only deluded. 20 Who shall provide for you if He withholds His sustenance? Nay; but they persist in rebellion and aversion. 21 Is then one who walks headlong, with his face grovelling, better guided,- or one who walks evenly on a Straight Way? 22 SAY: "[God is] He who has brought you [all] into being, and has endowed you with hearing, and sight, and hearts: [yet] how seldom are you grateful!" 23 Say, "It is He who has multiplied you throughout the earth, and to Him you will be gathered." 24 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?" 25 Say, "God alone has knowledge of that; and I am only a plain warner." 26 But when they see it nigh, the faces of those who disbelieve will be awry, and it will be said (unto them): This is that for which ye used to call. 27 Say: Have you considered if Allah should destroy me and those with me-- rather He will have mercy on us; yet who will protect the unbelievers from a painful punishment? 28 Say: "He is the benevolent; in Him do we believe, and in Him do we place our trust. You will now realise who is in manifest error." 29 Say: 'What do you think. If your water should sink into the earth in the morning, who then would bring you running water' 30
