Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
