The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 by earth splitting with verdure, 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
