Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 when the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 By no means! there shall be no place of refuge! 11 For on that Day the refuge shall be to your Lord. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 and then, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And you have forsaken the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 And they will say, “Is there any one – any magician?” 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 To your Lord, that Day, will be the procession. 30
