The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And no trifle. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile). 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
