1/2 Hizb 46
< random >
And remember Our bondman Ayyub (Job); when he cried out* to his Lord, “The devil has struck me with hardship and pain.” (After seven years of patience.) 41 (We answered his prayer, healed his sickness, and told him), "Run on your feet. This is cool water (for you) to wash and drink". 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 Recall Ismael, Elisha, and Dhulkifl (Ezekiel) who were all virtuous people. 48 LET [all] this be a reminder [to those who believe in God] - for, verily, the most beauteous of all goals awaits the God-conscious: 49 Everlasting Gardens all its gates are open for them. 50 wherein they recline, and wherein they call for fruits abundant, and sweet potions, 51 ۞ And with them will be women limiting [their] glances and of equal age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell, in which they will burn. How vile a resting place! 56 all this will be theirs; let them taste it -- a scalding, dark, foul fluid, 57 and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 But why is it that we cannot see men whom we had considered as wicked 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64
