And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, – 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 who lends an ear to them, and most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 hast thou not seen how they wander in every valley 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
