Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
