Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 The stars turn dim and scatter, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 And when full-term she-camels are neglected 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 And (O people!) your companion is not one possessed; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of a satan accursed. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 That is but an advice to the entire creation! 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
