Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 We have certainly been promised this, we and our fathers before; these are naught but stories of the ancients 68 Say: 'Journey in the land and see what was the end of the sinners' 69 And do not grieve upon them, nor be distressed because of their scheming. 70 They also say: "Tell us when this threat will come to pass, if you are truthful." 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 Verily your Lord is gracious to men, though most men are ungrateful. 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Surely this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they are at variance; 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Verily, your Lord will decide between them (various sects) by His Judgement. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 78 So put thy trust in God; thou art upon the manifest truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
