Noah (Nooh)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Bee (Al-nahl) before Abraham (Ibrahim)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
We sent Noah to his People (with the Command): "Do thou warn thy People before there comes to them a grievous Penalty." 1 He said: "O my People! I am to you a Warner, clear and open: 2 that you should worship God [alone] and be conscious of Him. Pay heed to me. 3 He will forgive your sins and will grant you respite till an appointed time. When the time appointed by God arrives, it cannot be postponed, if you only knew." 4 He said, “My Lord! I invited my people night and day.” 5 But the more I called, they only ran the farther away. 6 "And every time I have called to them, that Thou mightest forgive them, they have (only) thrust their fingers into their ears, covered themselves up with their garments, grown obstinate, and given themselves up to arrogance. 7 Then I called them loudly and more openly, 8 then indeed I spoke publicly unto them, and I spoke unto them secretly, 9 And I have said: Seek pardon of your Lord. Lo! He was ever Forgiving. 10 He will let loose the sky for you in plenteous rain, 11 and will provide you with wealth and children, and will bestow upon you gardens and rivers. 12 What is amiss with you that you do not look forward to the majesty of Allah 13 When He created you by (divers) stages? 14 Have you not regarded how God created seven heavens one upon another, 15 And hath made the moon a light therein, and made the sun a lamp? 16 And Allah has caused you to grow out of the earth so wondrously, 17 "'And in the End He will return you into the (earth), and raise you forth (again at the Resurrection)? 18 And Allah has made for you the earth a wide expanse, 19 "'That ye may go about therein, in spacious roads.'" 20

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
