When Your Lord told Moses to go to the unjust people of the Pharaoh 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 (Saying): Let the Children of Israel go with us. 17 He (Pharaoh) said (to Moses): 'Did We not bring you up when you were a child? And have you not spent years of your life amongst us? 18 You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed that deed of yours. You are very ungrateful indeed." 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 'Do you not hear' said he (Pharaoh) to those around him. 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 Moses continued: "(He is) the Lord of the east and the west, and all between them. If you only had any understanding!" 28 Said [Pharaoh]: "Indeed, if thou choose to worship any deity other than me, I shall most certainly throw thee into prison! 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 32 and he drew his hand (out of his armpit) and lo! it had become a shining object to the beholders. 33
