The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 and those who drive away [the wicked] with reproof 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all between them, and Lord of every point at the rising of the sun! 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 They cannot listen to the Highest Chiefs for they are pelted from every side, 8 and driven away to suffer the necessary torment. 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Are they stronger in constitution, or those We created? We created them of clinging clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And seek to scoff when they behold a portent. 14 it and say, "It is only plain magic". 15 When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected? 16 “And also our forefathers?” 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 “This is the Day of Judgement, which you used to deny!” 21
