Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the scatterers (the wind) scattering, 1 And the clouds bearing a load. 2 which then smoothly speed along, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 And undoubtedly justice will surely be done. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 your ideas are confused. 8 though only those who are averse to the Truth will turn away from (believing in it). 9 Accursed be the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask; "When will be the Day of Recompense?" 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 "Taste you your trial (burning)! This is what you used to ask to be hastened!" 14 As for the God-fearing, they shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep only a little during the night. 17 and asked for forgiveness in the early morning. 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And in the earth are signs for those who are certain. 20 As also in your own selves: Will ye not then see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth! it is most surely the truth, just as you do speak. 23
