Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 And verily this religion of yours is one religion, and I am your Lord, so fear Me. 52 But their nations broke their tasks into pieces; every group happy with what it has. 53 But leave them in their confused ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that We are helping them by giving them children and property? 55 We are hastening to them of good things? Nay, they do not perceive. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 who believe in the revelations of their Lord, 58 And those who with their Lord associate not anyone. 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are in ignorance of this (Koran); and they have deeds besides that which they are doing. 63 But when We seize with the punishment those of them that live in ease, they groan. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 Surely My signs have been rehearsed unto you, and upon your heel ye were wont to draw back. 66 being proud against it, talking foolishness by night. 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they did not recognise their Noble Messenger, therefore they consider him alien? 69 Or do they say that he is possessed? In fact, he has brought the truth to them, but most of them abhor the truth. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And indeed, you invite them to a straight path. 73 But those who do not believe in the Hereafter have indeed deviated from that path. 74 ۞ Though We had mercy on them and relieved them of the harm afflicting them, they still would wander blindly on in their contumacy. 75 And assuredly We took hold of them with the torment, yet they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor did they entreat. 76 until We opened upon them the door of a severe chastisement. Then lo, in this state they become utterly despaired of any good. 77
