Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 and the severally severing 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
