Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 when he ran away to the laden ship 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had he not glorified God, 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ We then put him ashore on a plain, and he was sick. 145 And We made a gourd tree grow over him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females, while they were witnesses? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Then produce your scriptures, if you are telling the truth. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Hallowed be Allah from that which they ascribe to Him. 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 And they surely were wont to say: 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 assuredly they shall be helped, 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 Therefore turn away from them till a time, 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see, soon they shall see! 179 Glorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him) 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
