Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 separating one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
