And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 from Pharaoh, who ranked high in sin, 31 We knowingly exalted them (i.e., the Children of Israel) above other peoples of the world 32 And We gave them portents wherein was a clear trial. 33 Indeed, these [disbelievers] are saying, 34 there is nothing beyond our first death; we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 We did not idly create the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them; 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 the Day when no friend shall be of the least avail to his friend, and when none shall be succoured 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
