Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think that We shall not gather his bones? 3 We certainly have the power to restore them even the very tips of their finger. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 So when vision is dazzled 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 Although he may put forth his pleas. 15 Move not thy tongue with it to hasten it; 16 It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it: 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Nay more, it is for Us to explain it (and make it clear): 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 on that Day he will be driven towards your Lord! 30
