And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 And We chose them aforetime above the nations, knowingly, 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Indeed these disbelievers proclaim; – 34 There is naught but our first death and we shall not be raised again. 35 "Then bring back our fore-fathers, if you speak the truth!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, [for] indeed, they were criminals. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 except those on whom Allah will have mercy. He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 42
