Verily, for the Righteous, are Gardens of Delight, in the Presence of their Lord. 34 Shall We then treat the People of Faith like the People of Sin? 35 What aileth you? How ill ye judge! 36 Or have ye a book through which ye learn- 37 That you shall have all that you choose? 38 Do you have a covenant with Us which allows you to do whatever you want until the Day of Judgment? 39 Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible. 40 Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful. 41 On the day when the Shin* will be exposed and they will be called to prostrate themselves, they will be unable. (Used as a metaphor) 42 downcast will be their eyes, with ignominy overwhelming them - seeing that they had been called upon [in vain] to prostrate themselves [before Him] while they were yet sound [and alive]. 43 Hence, leave Me alone with such as give the lie to this tiding. We shall bring them low, step by step, without their perceiving how it has come about: 44 I shall respite them, My stratagem is firm. 45 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they are burdened with debt? 46 Or is the Unseen theirs that they can write (thereof)? 47 But wait thou for thy Lord's decree, and be not like him of the fish, who cried out in despair. 48 Had his Lord's grace not been bestowed upon him, he would have been cast away in disgrace upon that desolate shore. 49 His Lord therefore chose him and made him among those deserving His proximity. 50 When those who deny the truth hear the admonition, they would almost cause you to stumble with their evil eyes; and they say, "He is certainly mad." 51 Yet it is purely an admonition to mankind. 52
