Blessed be He Who hath placed in the heaven mansions of the stars, and hath placed therein a great lamp and a moon giving light! 61 And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude. 62 For, [true] servants of the Most Gracious are [only] they who walk gently on earth, and who, whenever the foolish address them, reply with [words of] peace; 63 And who spend the night before their Lord, prostrate and standing, 64 who pray, "Our Lord, save us from the torment of Hell, for its torment is killing: 65 Indeed it is a most wretched abode. 66 Those who, when they spend, are not extravagant and not niggardly, but hold a just (balance) between those (extremes); 67 And those who call not unto other god along with Allah and slay not any soul which Allah hath forbidden, save in justification, and commit not fornication. And whosoever shall do this, shall incur the meed. 68 The punishment shall be increased for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will remain in it forever, with humiliation. 69 Except for those who repent, believe and do righteous work. For them Allah will replace their evil deeds with good. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. 70 and whosoever repents, and does righteousness, he truly turns to God in repentance. 71 And those who do not give false testimony, and when they pass near some indecency, they pass by it saving their honour. 72 and who when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord, they do not fall down deaf and blind. 73 And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous." 74 Those shall be recompensed with the highest heaven, for that they endured patiently, and they shall receive therein a greeting and --' Peace!' 75 therein to abide: [and] how goodly an abode and [how high] a station! 76 Say: 'My Lord esteems you not at all were it not for your prayer, for you have cried lies, and it shall surely be fastened.' 77
