Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say: 'It is a mighty tiding 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 It has not been revealed to me except that I am a clear warner." 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 Saving Iblis; he was scornful and became one of the disbelievers. 74 He (Allah) said: 'iblis, what prevented you from prostrating yourself towards that which I have created with My Hands? Have you become too proud, or are you among the grand' 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 "And My curse shall be on thee till the Day of Judgment." 78 But Satan said, "My Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection," 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 Until the Day of the time well-known." 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 Save Thy bondmen among them Sincere. 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 I shall certainly fill Gehenna with you and every one of them that follows you' 85 Say: I do not ask you for any reward for it; nor am I of those who affect: 86 “It is not but an advice for the entire world.” 87 And most certainly you will come to know about it after a time. 88
