▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 which none but the pure may touch; 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And you at the moment are looking on, 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 then for him there shall be comfort and plenty and a Garden of Bliss; 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 But if he be of them that cried lies, and went astray, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 And the roasting in Hell. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
