The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When earth is shaken with a mighty shaking 1 and when the earth brings forth its burdens 2 the human being will say (in horror), "What is happening to it?" 3 On that Day will she declare her tidings: 4 for that her Lord has inspired her. 5 On that Day people will go forth in varying states so that they be shown their deeds. 6 whoever has done the smallest particle of good will see it; 7 And whoever does an evil deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 8
