Say: "O Lord, if I am made to see what has been promised them, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And We are certainly able to show thee (in fulfilment) that against which they are warned. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We know that which they describe. 96 And say: My Lord! I seek refuge in Thee from suggestions of the evil ones, 97 And I seek refuge in Thee, my Lord, lest they be present with me, 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 Haply I may do good in that which I have left. By no means! it is a (mere) word that he speaks; and before them is a barrier until the day they are raised. 100 And then no sooner the Trumpet is blown than there will remain no kinship among them that Day, nor will they ask one another. 101 Then those whose scales are heavy, they are the successful. 102 And the ones whose scales prove light – it is they who put their lives into ruin, remaining in hell forever. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 [And God will say:] "Were not My messages conveyed unto you, and were you [not] wont to give them the lie?" 105 They will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! Our bad luck has overwhelmed us, and so we went astray! 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 You are those that when a party of My servants said: 'Our Lord, we believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful,' 109 but you made them a target of your derision to the point where it made you forget all remembrance of Me; and you went on and on laughing at them. 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They will answer: "We have spent there a day, or part of a day; but ask those who [are able to] count [time]" 113 He will say, "You stayed not but a little - if only you had known. 114 So do you think that We have created you needlessly, and that you do not have to return to Us? 115 So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 (Muhammad), say, "Lord, forgive me and grant me mercy; You are the best of the Merciful Ones. 118
