Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
