The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful One 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 He created the human being 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 and He has raised up the heaven and has set a balance 7 That you not transgress within the balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Which of the powers of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
