Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 The honourable recorders. 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 18 A day on which no soul hath power at all for any (other) soul. The (absolute) command on that day is Allah's. 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
