The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who created and proportioned 2 Who determines and directs, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 And recites the name of his Lord and serves with devotion. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The Scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses). 19
