Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 in columns outstretched. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
