And verily we sent Noah (as Our messenger) unto his folk, and he continued with them for a thousand years save fifty years; and the flood engulfed them, for they were wrong-doers. 14 But We saved him and those who were with him in the Ark and made the event a sign for mankind. 15 And We sent Ibrahim. Recall what time he said unto his people: worship Allah, and fear Him; that is best for you if ye but knew. 16 You only worship idols besides Allah and you create a lie surely they whom you serve besides Allah do not control for you any sustenance, therefore seek the sustenance from Allah and serve Him and be grateful to Him; to Him you shall be brought back. 17 And if ye belie me, then communities before you have belied: and upon the apostle is naught but a preaching manifest. 18 What! do they not consider how Allah originates the creation, then reproduces it? Surely that is easy to Allah. 19 Tell them, "Roam the earth and see how He originated creation. Then God will bring into being your second life. God has power over all things. 20 He shall torment whomsoever He will, and shall show mercy unto whomsoever He will, and unto Him ye shall be returned. 21 You cannot challenge God in the heavens or in the earth. No one besides God is your guardian or helper. 22
