Nay, by the moon, 32 By the night when it departs. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except those on the right side. 39 (They will be) in Gardens (of Delight): they will question each other, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 and they shall reply, "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
