Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 when the seas are set boiling, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped off and taken away from its place; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 when Paradise is brought close: 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens). 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not grudging of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this the word of an outcast devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
