And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that the learned among the Children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 they would still not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 verily, [even] from hearing it are they utterly debarred! 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 Who listens to you (for spreading rumours); but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
Almighty God's Truth.
