We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
