Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or do they say: “He is a poet for whom we await an adverse turn of fortune.” 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds? 32 Or say they: he hath fabricated it: aye they will not believe. 33 Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth! 34 Have they not been created by aught, or are they the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or do they have a ladder (climbing which) they can hear (the secrets of heaven)? Let one who has heard then bring a clear proof. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 40 Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Or have they a god other than God? Exalted be God over what they ascribe as partners [to Him]! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And verily for those who do wrong there is a torment before that; but most of them know not. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! 49
