Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars have fallen and scattered; 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 every human being will [at last] comprehend, what he has sent ahead and what he has held back [in this world]. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay, [O men,] but you [are lured away from God whenever you are tempted to] give the lie to [God's] Judgment! 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble, writers 11 They know all that you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 And they will not be able to keep away therefrom. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
