Al-Najm 3 of 3
Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
