Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 Now let man but think from what he is created! 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
