Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 Arriving thereby in the center collectively, 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 Surely, he is ardent in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest- 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
