O you who believe, do not practice usury, charging doubled and redoubled (interest); but have fear of God: you may well attain your goal. 130 and beware of the fire which awaits those who deny the truth! 131 and obey God and the Messenger, so that you may be given mercy. 132 ۞ And march forth in the way (which leads to) forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2). 133 Those who spend (of that which Allah hath given them) in ease and in adversity, those who control their wrath and are forgiving toward mankind; Allah loveth the good; 134 And who, when they have committed an indecency or have wronged their souls, remember God and pray that their sins be forgiven, (for who but God can forgive sins?) and do not knowingly persist in their misdeeds, 135 their recompense is forgiveness from their Lord, and Gardens with rivers flowing through them, where they will abide forever. How excellent will be the reward of those who do good works. 136 Some traditions have been tried before you – therefore travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell those who denied. 137 This is a plain exposition for men, and a guidance and admonition for the Godfearing. 138 So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers. 139 If a wound (and killing) has touched you, be sure a similar wound (and killing) has touched the others. And so are the days (good and not so good), We give to men by turns, that Allah may test those who believe, and that He may take martyrs from among you. And Allah likes not the Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers). 140 and makes men go through trials in order that He might purge the believers and blot out those who deny the Truth. 141 Did you think that you could go to Paradise before God knew which of you fought for His cause and which of you bore patience? 142 And assuredly ye were wont to long for death ere ye had met it. Now ye are beholding it even while ye are looking on. 143
