Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) that scatter broadcast; 1 And those that bear the burden (of the rain) 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Verily that wherewith ye are threatened is surely true. 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 CONSIDER the firmament full of starry paths! 7 Truly ye are in a doctrine discordant, 8 and are turned away from him who is turned. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are lost in deception. 11 they who [mockingly] ask, "When is that Day of Judgment to be?" 12 (It will be) a Day when they will be tried (i.e. burnt) over the Fire! 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They used to sleep but little in the night. 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and that which ye are promised. 22 And by the Lord of the heavens and the earth, it is the truth, even as (it is true) that ye speak. 23
