And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"? 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Nay, the hour is their promised time, and the hour shall be most grievous and bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Indeed, all things We created with predestination. 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 And everything they have done is in the writings. 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
