The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who has created and shaped, 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 who brings forth green pasture, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall now make you read (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), so you will not forget. 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 in which he will neither die nor live therein. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
