In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ TaHa. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 But only as an admonition unto him who feareth. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 the Merciful willed to the Throne. 5 To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. 6 And if you utter the saying aloud, then surely He knows the secret, and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his wife, “Wait – I have seen a fire – perhaps I may bring you an ember from it or find a way upon the fire.” 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 And I! I have chosen thee, hearken thou then to that which shall be revealed. 13 Lo! I, even I, am Allah, There is no Allah save Me. So serve Me and establish worship for My remembrance. 14 "Verily the Hour is coming - My design is to keep it hidden - for every soul to receive its reward by the measure of its Endeavour. 15 “Therefore never let one, who does not accept faith in it and follows his own desires, prevent you from accepting this, so then you become ruined.” 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said, “This is my staff; I support myself on it, and I knock down leaves for my sheep with it, and there are other uses for me in it.” 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 Then He said: "Seize it and have no fear. We shall restore it to its former state. 21 "Now - as another Sign - place your hand under your arm and it will come out sheer white without harm (or stain). 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel." 24
