3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be on Nuh among the worlds. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 And he cast a look at the stars 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They said: "Build for him a building (it is said that the building was like a furnace) and throw him into the blazing fire!" 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
