The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its appointed tremor. 1 And Earth yieldeth up her burdens, 2 and the human asks: "What is the matter with it?" 3 On that day she shall tell her news, 4 as thy Sustainer will have inspired her to do! 5 On that Day will all men come forward, cut off from one another, to be shown their [past] deeds. 6 So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it, 7 while whoever has done the smallest particle of evil will see it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
